Newly elected Bulacan Vice Gov. Alex Castro also delivered a message during the celebration, recognizing the occasion’s significance to the local community.
Mayor Jowar Bautista said the month-long festivities featured a wide range of activities designed to encourage public participation and promote Angat’s local identity.
Among the highlights were a food park, DepEd Day, traditional games, a vegetable-themed floating parade, Laking Laro, the Linang Parade and a pageant, along with other community events.
The Gulayan Angat Festival serves not only as a commemoration of the municipality’s 343-year history but also as a platform for promoting local agriculture, strengthening community ties and encouraging residents to take part in the town’s continued growth.
The annual celebration has become a much-anticipated event under Bautista’s administration, drawing attention to Angat’s cultural heritage and the role of its people in shaping the municipality’s future.
