In a split-second twist of timing, a volleyball appears to have replaced a Letran player’s head, creating a hilarious optical illusion amid the intensity of competition. The perfectly timed shot captured an amusing moment during the Lady Knights’ showdown with the National University Lady Bulldogs in the Shakey’s Super League Unity Cup at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum on Friday, October 9, 2026. While the players battled for every point, the ball momentarily stole the spotlight in a picture-perfect case of mistaken identity. The final score stood at 3-1 (25-20, 22-25, 25-18, 25-16) in favor of the towering Manila-based collegiate giants. Both squads traded heavy blows in the opening frames before the Lady Bulldogs pulled away decisively in the third and fourth sets. (Photo by Rey Nillama)
