MANILA — Vice President Sara Duterte remains the top choice in a recent 2028 presidential preference survey conducted by OCTA Research, even as her lead over rivals shrinks.
Survey results from March 19 to 25 show Duterte at 33 percent, reflecting a five-point drop from her previous 38 percent rating.
Former vice president Leni Robredo followed with 21 percent, boosted by a 13-point jump—the largest increase among all potential contenders.
The difference between the two candidates has narrowed considerably, from 30 percentage points to 12.
OCTA noted that Duterte’s decrease remains statistically within the ±3 percent margin of error.
The poll was conducted after Duterte declared her presidential bid on Feb. 18 but before Robredo announced on April 20 that she would not pursue a national post.
In the same survey, Isko Moreno placed third with 10 percent, while Raffy Tulfo and Bam Aquino received 4 percent each.
