MANILA, Philippines — Much of the country will continue to swelter Tuesday, with the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration warning that Sangley Point may reach a heat index of 43°C, classified as “danger.”
Metro Manila, meanwhile, is expected to register 38°C to 39°C, under the “extreme caution” category.
The heat index reflects the combined effect of air temperature and humidity on how hot it feels.
