LOS ANGELES — The film One Battle After Another led the winners at the 98th Academy Awards after collecting six major trophies, including Best Picture and Best Director for filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson.
The awards ceremony, held at the Dolby Theatre, recognized outstanding achievements in filmmaking over the past year.
While One Battle After Another dominated the awards tally, acting honors went to stars from competing productions. Michael B. Jordan received Best Actor for his role in Sinners, while Jessie Buckley won Best Actress for Hamnet.
The ceremony also highlighted international contributions to cinema. Filipino-American cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw earned Best Cinematography for Sinners, and the song Golden from KPop Demon Hunters won Best Original Song.
Other notable winners included Sean Penn for Best Supporting Actor and Amy Madigan for Best Supporting Actress, while Frankenstein secured multiple technical awards including Costume Design, Production Design, and Make-up and Hairstyling.
