Vice Ganda
MANILA — Vice Ganda and the film I’m Perfect led the list of winners at the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) 2025 Gabi ng Parangal, taking home the top acting and film honors at the annual awards ceremony.
Vice Ganda earned the Best Actor award for portraying Twinkle in Call Me Mother, a role that drew an emotional response from the comedian-actor during the ceremony. The film tells the story of a gay man who raises a child on his own, exploring themes of unconditional love, sacrifice, and non-traditional family bonds.
The night’s highest honor, Best Picture, went to I’m Perfect, helmed by director Sigrid Bernardo. The film follows Jiro and Jessica, two adults with Down syndrome, as they navigate love and fight for acceptance while proving the sincerity of their relationship to their families.
Held on Saturday, December 27, at the Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City, the Gabi ng Parangal recognized outstanding achievements by performers, filmmakers, and production teams behind the MMFF’s eight official entries for 2025.
