MANILA — Weather disturbances brought by the easterlies and the northeast monsoon will continue to affect large portions of the Philippines, according to the state weather bureau on Saturday.
PAGASA, in its early morning advisory issued at 4 a.m., said the easterlies will result in partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Visayas, Mindanao, and Palawan.
Cloudy skies with light rainfall are expected over Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, and Apayao as the northeast monsoon remains active.
The same weather system will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated light rains over Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon.
Marine conditions remain hazardous in some areas, with Northern Luzon expected to experience strong winds and rough seas. Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the rest of Luzon and the eastern portions of the Visayas.
Elsewhere in the country, PAGASA said sea conditions will be slight to moderate, with generally light to moderate winds.
