MANILA, Philippines — Motorcycle riders will no longer need to pay fees for registering custom-made top boxes and saddle bags, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) announced Monday.
LTO Chief Markus Lacanilao signed a memorandum removing the ₱100 registration fee for each accessory, a move aimed at helping riders who rely on their motorcycles for work.
Registration is still required to ensure safety and compliance, but the agency will now issue certificates instead of official receipts. All offices have been instructed to implement the new rules immediately.
