MANILA – State weather bureau PAGASA said generally good weather conditions will continue in most parts of the country this weekend, although isolated thunderstorms and dangerous heat levels remain a concern in several areas.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains are expected in Batanes and the Babuyan Islands due to the frontal system affecting extreme northern Luzon.
PAGASA warned residents that moderate to occasionally heavy rains may result in flash floods and landslides.
Southern Mindanao will also experience unstable weather conditions due to the intertropical convergence zone.

Sultan Kudarat
Sarangani
Lanao del Sur
Maguindanao del Norte
Basilan
Tawi-Tawi
The weather bureau advised residents to prepare for possible flooding during heavy downpours.
Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines will continue to experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA clarified that no low-pressure area is currently being monitored after Tropical Storm Caloy weakened and dissipated.
Meanwhile, dangerous heat index levels are expected in at least 41 areas nationwide on Sunday.
